After being a huge success on Netflix, the French series Tapie has received some very good reviews from our British neighbours. Indeed, fiction inspired by Bernard Tap’s life has just been nominated for a prize at a prestigious ceremony to be held across the Channel on April 28, 2024!
‘Tap’ soon to be featured in the UK?
This event is none other than the BAFTA Television Awards! Here, the work created by Olivier Demangel and Tristan Seguela will appear in the Best International Series category. In this way, Tap meets a bear, a cow, the last of us, love and death and inheritance… that’s all!
So will France be crowned in a matter of weeks thanks to Tapie? Answer soon… In any case, we have found in this project the resident comédie-france, Laurent Lafitte, in the shoes of a man of critical society at the center of this story.
In an interview with AlloCiné promoting Tapie on Netflix, the star revealed that she didn’t want to meet the real hero of the story.
“Bernard Tapp was a man of great powers of seduction”
Laurent Lafitte honestly explained:I hadn’t thought about it, but Tristan Seguela asked me a while ago, “Would you be interested if I tried to arrange a lunch with Bernard Tapis?”… and I actually didn’t think about it. I’m sure it will help me in the game.“
He then explains:I was not sure, especially because I think that he was a person who had a great seductive power… As a person and a citizen, it would be very interesting for me to meet him.”the actor claims.
“But as an actor, I got the impression that it would not benefit me at all, so I preferred not to try it. I would really like to meet him to talk about the series. That would amuse me!“
A performance and the entire Tapie team to enable fiction to win at the Baftas Television Awards?
