“Always by your side” (“Hachiko: A Dog’s Story”) from 2009

Based on a true story, this film tells the story of the bond that a dog named Hachiko develops with his owner, who waits for him every day at the train station, even after his death.

Richard Gere, Joan Allen and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa star in this film that has become a classic of its genre.

“Marley and I” (“Marley & Me”) from 2008

In this comedy-drama, a couple adopts a Labrador retriever they name Marley. Despite his constant disobedience, they stay with him and tell his story from when he was adopted as a puppy until his last days.

“Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” (2022)

11 years after the first ‘Shrek’ spin-off, the Puss in Boots sequel has been a success, including Puppy in the story, a ‘lomito’ who, despite the abuse he’s suffered, has a positive attitude towards everything he infects Puss in Boots and Soft-Legged Kitty.

“Up: A High Adventure” (“Up”) from 2009

This Disney and Pixar film tells the story of Carl Fredricksen, who embarks on a new adventure with his neighbor Russell, a boy explorer who hopes to collect all his medals.

After adding several balloons to their home, the two embark on an adventure where they meet explorer Charles Muntz and his pack of dogs, where they meet Doug, who was so beloved he even has his own series on Disney+.

“Beethoven” from 1992

This family comedy is about a mischievous Saint Bernard who brings chaos and joy to a family, who chooses his name after playing the piano. The film was so successful that a sequel was released a year later.

“The Secret Life of Pets” (2016)

This animated comedy shows the adventures of our pets when we are not at home. The story centers on Max, who after trying to get rid of Duke, his family’s new dog, ends up on the street looking to get home.

The new Netflix film, which is a hit in Mexico, tells the story of Chichi, a stray dog, and Diva, a social media star cat, who escape from their cages at the airport after an unfortunate event.

Now their owners, with very different personalities, must put aside their differences to work together and track down their pets.
