The Champs-Elysees Film Festival, which honors French and American independent filmmakers, closed last night with the presentation of 15 prizes and a preliminary screening of the film “Everything Everywhere Simultaneously” (cinemas on August 31).
The feature film jury and press jury awarded Max Walker-Silverman’s Love Song and Lola Quivorone Rodeo, which have already won Un Certain Regard jury selection favorites.
Rodeo follows Julia (Julie Ledru), a young girl who lives by small circuits and devotes an all-encompassing, almost animalistic passion to the motorcycle. One summer day, he meets a gang of cross-bitumen bikers and penetrates this secret environment, which is mostly made up of young men. Before the accident weakens his positions in the group … The film will be released in cinemas on September 7.
A song of love Max Walker-Silverman The action takes place in a western rural camp, a woman waits for a young love to come, is unsure of her intentions, and is intimidated by her. The film is directed by Dale Dick, Wes Studio and Michelle Wilson. The release date has not been announced yet.
For its part, Fanny Molins’s French feature film Atlantic bar won the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award. This documentary, which follows the owner of a bar for sale, was presented at ACID at the last Cannes Film Festival. The film does not have a release date yet.
