One of the most popular and successful animated franchises of the 21st century, “Shrek” has won the hearts of audiences of all ages with its characters, sense of humor and irreverent way of parodying fairy tales.

A grumpy ogre named Shrek lives in an isolated swamp. However, their peace is disturbed by a series of fairy-tale characters who have been exiled by the evil Lord Farquaad.
In an attempt to regain peace of mind, Shrek makes a deal with Farquaad to rescue Princess Fiona, who is imprisoned in a tower, in exchange for restoring his swamp. For his long journey he will have the help of a talking donkey.

Fiona receives an invitation from her parents, the King and Queen, to meet their new son-in-law. However, Fiona’s parents do not know that she married an ogre. Upon arriving in the Kingdom of Far Far Away, problems arise when the king and queen encounter Shrek.
Furthermore, the king had arranged with the Fairy Godmother that Fiona should marry his son, Prince Charming. Now, Shrek, Donkey and a new ally, Puss in Boots, must stop the Fairy Godmother’s plans to destroy their marriage.

In the third installment of the series, Shrek refuses to take the throne of the kingdom of Far Far Away when Fiona’s father, King Harold, is terminally ill.
The ogre then tries to convince Artie, Fiona’s cousin, to succeed to the throne. However, Prince Charming is plotting to take the throne for himself.
