Frankie Muniz did not appear in all episodes of “Malcom el de en entre” for a controversial reason

In the early 2000s, Frankie Muniz rose to fame playing Malcolm, a child genius with a dysfunctional family who often gets into trouble, but did you know that he doesn’t appear in at least one episode of “Malcolm the Middle”? His absence has nothing to do with scheduling issues or personal situations, but with filming issues.

Frankie Muniz Reveals Why He Was Absent From Two Episodes Of ‘Malcolm In The Middle’

In a recent appearance on Australian reality show ‘I’m A Celebrity’, the 38-year-old actor spoke for the first time about an incident that saw him walk off the set during two episodes of the hit show.

“There were two episodes where I wasn’t there, I left the set,” he recalled on the program.

According to the now racing driver, tensions during filming had risen significantly due to the behavior of “certain people” who had become “controlling, rude and disrespectful”, creating an atmosphere of fear among the cast and crew.

“Everybody was too scared to get up when these people were acting like that. They were walking on pins and needles,” Muniz explained.

The “Malcolm in the Middle” star did not reveal the names or positions of the people who would create a toxic environment on the set of the series.

Despite the fear the situation caused many of his colleagues, he felt the need to do something about it: “I was so upset to see people afraid to stand up for themselves that I thought, ‘Say something’.”

“I didn’t care that they told me I was never going to come back (to the series), because for me it was worth it (to do something),” he said.

He clarified that the fact that “the program was based on me” (he was the protagonist of the story) “helped” in this action.

One of her fellow reality stars agreed: “You had that power.”

Although Frankie Muniz did not mention which episodes of ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ he was absent from, there is only one in the series that he does not appear in. This is Season 17 4, in which Hal and Lois make their vows and remember all the pranks their kids have played on them. The only moments we see Malcolm in are through ‘flashbacks’, so the actor is not credited.

The truth is that Frankie Muniz is not the only actor of the sitcom who did not appear in all the episodes. Whoever played his mother, Lois, was notably absent from some towards the end of season four, given that, in real life, she was pregnant. In fiction, his absence was excused because he visited his sister for a few days.
