The accident occurred on the morning of this Monday 1st in the Gilberto Machado neighborhood. In the images you can see the moment when the man, wearing a blue t-shirt and jeans, comes walking along the sidewalk and the ground opens up beneath him. After the fall, a wall collapses above the hole’s opening.
According to the newspaper Pernambuco leaf, the victim, identified only as an orthopedic doctor, fractured his femur. He was rescued and taken to a health unit.
Since the victim’s name was not revealed, the news team of the Earth was unable to verify his state of health.
On social media, the city council reported that a team had been sent to the site to assess the causes of the accident and close the sinkhole.
