The operation led to the arrest of four people in the Cascata neighborhood.
With a precise and strategic action, the Tactical Force of the 19th Battalion of the Military Police (BPM) dismantled, yesterday afternoon (02/04), a criminal group involved in drug trafficking in the Cascata district. The operation resulted in the arrest of four people, the seizure of a .380 caliber pistol and drugs, as well as other illicit items.
During an apparent patrol in an area known for drug trafficking, police captured an individual brandishing a gun. Having sensed the presence of the Military Brigades, the criminal attempted to escape, meeting three other accomplices. Given the well-founded suspicion, the team expressed an approach to the group.
During the personal search, the officers found a stolen 380 caliber pistol loaded with 21 rounds of ammunition, as well as drugs: 17 portions of marijuana, 55 pieces of crack cocaine and 409 pins of cocaine. The action also resulted in the seizure of the key to the motorbike, cash and three mobile phones.
