Thursday April 4th in a more beautiful life, even more beautiful…

Eric is having an existential crisis

Armand Billard, from the Children’s Social Assistance (ASE), visits Ariane and Zoe to explain the new steps. He assures them that he has approved their request, but that the file should include letters of recommendation from their loved ones. That’s not all, he informs the mother and daughter that they will have to undergo a psychological evaluation.

In turn, Eric leaves. She only spent a short time in Zoe’s stepfather’s shoes, but it was enough to brighten her days. Ariane offers to continue the dorm, but Eric prefers to leave. Before leaving, he hugs Ariane and Zoe like a real little family.

Later, Eric meets Blanche at Le Mistral bar. He tells her that he loved spending time with Zoe. Blanche asks why he never started a family, and Eric replies that he couldn’t find the right person. He asks his friend if he thinks he has failed in life. Blanche tries to comfort him, and then invites him to dinner.

The couple of Thomas and Gabriel is in danger

At the Mistral Bar, Thomas informs Killian that he is afraid to spend the day off with his husband. He is afraid of not living up to Gabriel’s expectations: “I don’t have anything planned, I have no idea, I just want to cancel.”

Suddenly, Killian slips. He tells Thomas that he surprised Gabriel as he listened to the walls of his office with a stethoscope. Thomas realizes that her husband is spying on her conversation with the psychotherapist.

Later, Thomas finds Gabriel on the terrace. He invites her to see Marseilles through its emblematic sounds, especially a concert of horns and foghorns, as well as meditating on the sound of waves. Gabrielle asks her husband if this is a joke or not, but Thomas is very serious.

At the end of the day, Gabriel asks Thomas if it was punishment or revenge. The latter tells him that he knows about the stethoscope. Gabriel tries to justify himself and declares: “If I heard you from behind this partition, it was to check that everything was okay.”

Thomas, who is angry with her husband, answers: “You invaded what was most intimate for me and took advantage of what I told the psychotherapist”. He believes that Gabriel has broken their trust agreement. Before leaving he said: “Enjoy the insight of a good mother and reflect on our 12 years of marriage.” Will this iconic everyday pair survive this ordeal?

Was Louise’s death premeditated?

At the Mistral police station, Jean-Paul informs Samuel that Leah is going through a difficult time. Indeed, he is obsessed with the novel of Louise Raveno and is determined to prove that he did not commit a medical malpractice.

In turn, Leah informs Ulysses that she is not responsible for the young woman’s death, as the penicillin was administered to her around 11:00 PM and she had already left the hospital at that time. Ulysses will try to gain access to the hospital pharmacy to find out who could have prescribed the drug.

Later that day, Ulysses informs Leah that he knows the name of the doctor who gave Louise the penicillin. This is Dr. Hervé Lussant, a temporary worker who exclusively took the night shift. Leah is freed, but immediately heads off to find Hervé Lussan. Good news, Ulises knows where the doctor practices.

Leah immediately goes to the office. She asks Hervé Lucan if he remembers Louise. The latter responds positively because his first patient died. He tells Leah that she was suffering from acute pneumonia. It was Luis’ father who gave him this important information. That’s not all, the doctor adds that he didn’t know about Louis’ allergies because he wasn’t wearing a bracelet during his hospitalization. Can the patient die because of his father?

In the evening, Lea tells Jean-Paul what she discovered. She asks him if he can investigate Louise’s father. Jean-Paul is suspicious, he wonders if Dr. Lucan lied to Leah to protect himself. He informs Leah that the doctor’s statements do not match those of Sybil Raveno, Louise’s mother. Could a malevolent individual pretend to be the patient’s father?
