The series became famous thanks to the brief, particularly inventive form and with such effective writing, the French actor and humorist Kian Khojandi (also creator of Bloqués and screenwriter of Serge Le Mito) also made us laugh in the cinema. In a little over 10 years, we have seen him play in such diverse feature films as Nos Futures, Nous trois ou rien, La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon, Au Revoir Là-haut and Le Discours.

But what movies inspire him when he’s in the audience seat? What scenes formed his best memories as he sat in the red chair in the dark rooms?

In February 2015, when he recently voiced Baymax the robot in Disney’s New Heroes, we asked him what his favorite movie scene was.

“This is completely insane!”

“It’s Car Shots in Sons of Man”He then answered before warning us of spoilers and beginning to describe the sequence.

“The camera is rolling with the actors, it’s a kind of remote control car, the actors are bending down to hand the camera, it’s absolutely crazy. People are coming down from the valley. 14 at the beginning, at the end there’s 3,000, there’s a motorcycle, it’s crazy. (…)

“I think it’s one of the best movie scenes I’ve ever seen.”

Directed by Alfonso Cuarón in 2006 and directed by Clive Owen, The Sons of Man follows the journey of a former political activist who is responsible for protecting the world’s first pregnant woman for 18 years in a future where humans no longer arrive. This work of post-apocalyptic and utterly disillusioned science fiction is especially driven by visually stunning scenes, including one written for us by Kian Khojandi:

“I think it’s one of the best movie scenes I’ve ever seen. When I saw it, it hit me in the face. (…). Then the car drives off and it’s over, but now I think everyone has bled the DVD, (…) Everyone turned back to watch this thing happen.”
