Frank Dubosk has a really bad week in this Netflix hit comedy

This week, among the 10 most watched feature films by subscribers of the Netflix platform is the comedy 10 Days Without a Mother, which was released in theaters in February 2020 and notably hosts Frank Dubosk.

Family movie

In this family entertainment, recently added to the popular streaming service and which therefore ranks ninth in the weekly Netflix ratings, Antoine, the HR director of a large DIY brand, is about to see his position evolve significantly within his company.

But things get complicated for him when his wife Isabelle (played by Aure Attica) decides to skip a 10-day vacation in Mykonos with her sister at the time, leaving Antoine at home alone to take care of their four children.

Good box office score

Despite mixed critics (2.2 stars for press and 2.1 for audiences on AlloCiné), but especially despite the March 2020 restriction (which irrevocably halted the film’s career less than a month after release), 10 days. Without his mother, he was able to gather more than a million viewers in theaters.

Enough to encourage its director Ludovic Bernard (whom we also know from Mission Pays Basque or L’Ascension) to start a sequel three years later. In 2023, without their mother for another 10 days, Frank Dubosc took his four children on vacation to the mountains in Courchevel.

did you know 10 Days Without a Mother is actually a remake of an Argentinian feature film released in 2017: Ariel Winograd’s Mamá se fue de viaje.
