In 2018, Cameron Diaz announced that she was retiring from acting and was trying to regain her sense of personal space, family and relationships. But unlike celebrities like Gene Hackman and Jack Nicholson, who have so far resisted the urge to return, Diaz is returning for a new Netflix movie titled, conveniently, back to action.
Details on this are kept under wraps, but there will be a meeting between Diaz and her. annie co-star Jamie Foxx, the latter announcing both the film and Diaz’s return via tweet. It features a phone call between the two actors as Diaz expresses fear of not knowing what he’s doing, before Foxx framed him with NFL star Tom Brady (who seemed to be announcing his retirement this year, then retired), to hear some words of wisdom.
Terrible bosses Director Seth Gordon is overseeing the new film and with whom he wrote the script bad neighbors‘Brendan O’Brien. Filming will begin later this year, but there is no release date in the books.
