Disney Plus already has a date to charge for sharing passwords

Disney Plus has already implemented policies against sharing passwords. Now an estimate has been released of when some users of the streaming service will have to pay to use the same account.

What we know about the end of password sharing

The combined Disney Plus and Hulu app launched late last month as part of the company’s attempt to attract more subscribers to its streaming package. The app incorporates content from both services.

“We need to increase engagement. We need tools to reduce turnover and create more traction (…) get to know our customers better“, said the CEO. According to The limitDisney should soon unify user identities to know who is logged in, which is important to curb account sharing.
