Google Pixel 8a may have appeared in advance in an advertisement published by the brand, including a new blue color

There is a possibility that the device in front is the Pixels 8a, due to a small detail: the lack of a microphone opening. In the end, the Pixel 8 has a “hole” between the cameras and the flashwhich cannot be seen in the advert.
However, the change could just be a simple change Google made to the photo, for some unknown reason. The content no longer appears on the company’s social networks, a sign that it should not have been published in the first place.
The blue device that appears behind it could also be a Pixel 8a. After all, this shade is currently available only on the Pixel 8 Pro, which has a metallic finish not present on the smartphone featured in the ad.
The same blue tone it had already been linked to the Pixel 8a in previous rumors which showed the smartphone in the renders with its probable appearance. The design changes also include more rounded corners on the device, with a matte finish.
What to expect from the Pixel 8a?
Previous rumors have already shown what the possible technical characteristics of the Pixel 8a could be, including its presence by the same Tensor G3 processor seen on other devices in the line Pixel 8. Therefore, it can offer similar AI features, such as text generation and advanced image editing.
The data sheet of the device can still carry 8 GB of memory RAM and 128/256 GB of internal memory. The display must have a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
A precise launch date for the Pixel 8a has not yet been announced, but it could arrive sometime the Google I/O event scheduled for May 14th. Until then, more details about the device may be revealed through new leaks.
