Zac Efron played Troy Bolton in the Disney trilogy and is now the protagonist of Flames of Vengeance, adaptation of Stephen King
Zac Efron became known at the beginning of his career mainly for the role of Troy Bolton in the trilogy High School Musical. Despite conquering thousands of fans and participating in several successful films afterwards, the character of disney almost cost the role in the remake of Flames of vengeance (2022).
efron is the protagonist of the new version of the story of Stephen Kingand the director Keith Thomas revealed to Total Film that before meeting the actor, the only thing I had in mind was the time of High School Musical:
“For the Zac…I immediately thought of him as some kind of teen idol, even though I saw him in Ted Bundy and other papers,” he said. “But when I had the first meeting with him… You know, he’s in his 30s, and he was very interested in doing something different; something of a genre he’s never worked with and playing a father.”

Would Zac Efron Play Troy Bolton Again?
High School Musical (2005) is among the most outstanding works by efron and actor revealed that he has a great affection for the production and cast and would even accept to revive the role of Troy Bolton if disney decided to produce a reboot of the musical trilogy.
“Clear [que estaria interessado]. Serious. To have the opportunity, anyway, to come back and work with that team would be so wonderful. My heart is still there. That would be awesome. I hope it happens,” he said. efron in an interview with AND! news.
