On his social media, the filmmaker responded to fans about the film that will kick off the new DC Cinematic Universe in 2025
james gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3) to counter rumors about Super man – old Superman: Legacy -, new feature film Steel manwhich will begin the new DC Cinematic Universe, led by the filmmaker together with Peter Safran.
“The main protagonist of Super man is, surprisingly, Super man. The main villain of Super man is, surprisingly, Lex Luthor. I don’t know where this whole thing comes from that it’s something other than that.”complained in a publication on Threads.
“There are so many stories coming out every day that it’s hard to deal with them and every time I see something it ends up getting attention. So I’ll say it again, don’t believe anything unless you see it HERE [nas redes do cineasta] (and why, after all, would you want to know everything before the film comes out?)”concluded Gunn.
Super man will accompany Super man/Clark Kent in the quest to reconcile Kryptonian heritage with human creation. The film will star David Corenswet (Pearl) as the hero and Rachel Brosnahanfrom the series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017-2023), as the reporter Lois Lanelove interest of Super man.
The duo also gains the company of Nicholas Hoult (The Great) as Lex Luthor, Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones) as Jimmy Olsen, Nathan Fillion (The Suicide Squad) as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabella Merced (Dora and the Lost City) as Hawkgirl, Edi Gathegi (Twilight) as Mister Incredible, Anthony Carrigan (Barry) as Rex Mason/Shapeshifterthe model Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher It is Maria Gabriela de FarÃa (Isa TKM) as the villain Angela SpicaMore known as Engineer.
Super man is scheduled to arrive in Brazilian cinemas on July 10, 2025.
