Why is Robinho the only one arrested among the six accused of gang rape?

Find out what happened to the former player’s friends who committed the crime

Robinho is the only prisoner among the six men accused of raping an Albanian woman in Italy in 2013. Convicted by the courts of the European country, he is serving a nine-year sentence in Penitentiary 2 of Tremembé (SP).

But, after all, what happened to the former player’s friends, perpetrators of the crime? Why have none of them been arrested so far? See details below.

According to g1, the Albanian woman’s complaint mentions Robinho and five other men: Ricardo Falco, Rudney Gomes, Clayton Santos, Alexsandro da Silva and Fabio Galan.

During the trial, the Italian court found that, after “seeing what happened” between Robinho and his wife, the men “abused in a similar way” [igualmente] of the offended person, forced to have oral and vaginal intercourse with them”.

A condemned friend

Of the five friends, only Ricardo Falco was condemned by Italian justice. The sentence was also nine years in prison. The conviction of him and Robinho was decided in the third and final degree, i.e. without further possibility of appeal.

Unlike the former player, however, the Brazilian still has justice did not determine whether Falco should serve his sentence in Brazil. There is no information on a date for this trial.

And the other four?

The others mentioned in the complaint again they were not convicted by Italian justice. According to the document, they they have not been located. In situations like this, trials are usually “suspended”, resuming when they are informed and therefore have the opportunity to defend themselves.
