Brazilian comedy The Farofeiro 2 continues to achieve important goals. The film starring Aline Campos, Cacau Protásio, Danielle Winits and Paulinho Gogó premiered at the beginning of March this year and has so far been seen in theaters by more than 1.6 million viewers.
The film still occupies first place in the domestic release chart in 2024, and third place overall, behind only Wish AND Everyone except you. Remembering that the comedy, again directed by Roberto Santucci, grossed R$ 8.99 million at the time of its launch, which took place last March 7, dethroning none other than Dune: part 2one of the most anticipated science fiction films of the year.
The Farofeiro 2 features the return of Aline Campos, Cacau Protásio, Danielle Winits, Paulinho Gogó, Charles Paraventi, Nilton Bicudo, Elisa Pinheiro and Antônio Fragoso. The first film, released in 2018, was so successful that it warranted a sequel: with an investment of R$6 million, the original earned more than R$36 million on Brazilian screens.
