Lionsgate announced on Tuesday (9) that it has decided to postpone the release of two of its most anticipated films until 2024: I saw XI AND The Raven. According to the producer, the sequel to one of the most famous horror series will only hit theaters in September 2025, while the long-running remake starring Bill Skarsgård came out in August (even later this year).
Announced last year, I saw XI was confirmed after the relative success of I saw 10which earned an 80% approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and grossed more than $100 million worldwide, a profit on its $13 million budget.
In an interview with SFX Magazine in December, producer Oren Koules revealed plot details for the new film, which will serve as a direct sequel to the tenth installment.
Cecilia is still alive, as are Tobin’s characters [Jigsaw] and Shawnee [Amanda] I’m still in a foreign country. For me, this would be the perfect setting to start the story of the next film.
I saw 10 presented a new cycle of the famous deadly (and moral) games of Jigsaw (Tobin Bell). The sequence sees the return of Shawnee Smith, who plays Amanda Young, the serial killer’s disciple, as well as new faces, such as Synnove Macody Lund: she plays the antagonist of the chapter, Cecília Pederson, a fake doctor who ends up carrying out a murder state. coming soon on Jigsaw.
