Interpreter of Lee in Civil war (2024), Kirsten Dunst revealed how the film directed by Alex Garlandwhich premieres on April 18th in Brazilian cinemas, features one of the “craziest scenes I’ve seen in my life.”
The film’s plot follows “a family fighting for survival as a civil war rages across the United States.” The cast also features Nick Offerman (President), Wagner Moura (Joel), Jefferson White (Dave), Nelson Lee (Tony), Evan Lai (Bohai), Cailee Spaeny (Jessie), between others.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonightthe artist commented how her husband, Jesse Plemonswhich is also in Civil war“wouldn’t play a role like this.”
“He did us a favor because this is a really disturbing role to play, so it’s not like he’s jumping at the chance to play the role,” he said. Kirsten Dunst. “Even reading the script, it’s one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen. When we got to the set, it was very, very tense and emotional for everyone who was filming that scene.”
Second Dunstthe scene in question was filmed for “two days straight,” and became even more “intense” when Alex Garland decided to avoid traditional close-ups: “He did it in a non-traditional way to make sure he wasn’t breaking the momentum and he didn’t do traditional close-ups where there were crews intervening.
