“Bridgerton”: Netflix reveals official trailer and poster for season three

Netflix released this Thursday (11th) a new trailer for Bridgerton. It features Penelope (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin (Luke Newton). Furthermore, the official poster for the third season of the series has been revealed, which will debut on May 16th.

In the official synopsis of season three, Penelope Featherington finally gives up pursuing Colin Bridgerton, after hearing the harsh words he said about her in the previous season.

However, Penelope decides it’s time to get married, preferably to a man who offers her the independence she needs to continue her double life as Lady Whistledown, away from her mother and sisters. But Penelope’s lack of confidence makes her wedding adventure a complete failure.

Colin, for his part, returned from his summer travels, with a new look and full of self-esteem. He realizes that Penelope, the only person who has always loved him for who he truly was, has begun to treat him with indifference.

Wanting to regain his friendship, Colin offers to teach Penelope how to have more self-confidence and find a husband. But the lessons start going too well and Colin gets jealous. Does he really want to just be friends with him?

To further complicate the situation, Penelope is arguing with Eloise (Claudia Jessie), who has found an unexpected new friendship. On top of that, her more intense participation in high society makes it even more difficult to hide her Lady Whistledown alter ego.

The third season of Bridgerton welcomes new showrunner and executive producer Jess Brownell. He arrives to replace Chris Van Dusen. He, in turn, will remain as executive producer alongside Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Tom Verica. The first two seasons are available in the Netflix catalogue.
