“Planet of the Apes: Reign”: the trailer traces the trajectory of Caesar; clock

Caesar’s (Andy Serkis) trajectory is remembered in the new trailer for Planet of the Apes: Reign. Published by 20th Century Studios, the video also features the human Mae (Freya Allan). The film will be released in theaters on May 9th.

The film is set many years after the end of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) and shows a world now completely dominated by monkeys. In this scenario, in which Caesar’s leadership philosophy has already lost much of its impact, it will be up to Noa to uncover the mysteries of a kingdom ruled by a new king.

The sequel will star Kevin Durand as Proximus Caesar, the franchise’s new villain. Owen Teague will play the new protagonist. In addition to Durand, Teague and Freya Allan, the cast also includes William Macy (Fargo), Eka Darville (Jessica Jones) and Lydia Peckham (Cowboy Bebop). Directed by Wes Ball (Maze runner).

The expected running time of the new film is 2 hours and 25 minutes, making it the longest in the saga since Franklin Schaffner’s first work in 1968. The information comes from Omelette.
