Last Thursday (11), Disney hosted the final presentation of the CinemaCon 2024 event, in Las Vegas. On that occasion it updated the cinema schedule for the remainder of 2024, providing more information on cinema releases compared to what had already been released in previous events.
Several feature films from the entertainment giant had exclusive content shown to the public and press during the event. Exhibits included productions from the company’s most prestigious studios, such as Marvel Studios, Fox, Lucasfilm and Pixar.
As previously announced, the next scheduled film is Planet of the Apes: Reignand the film that closes the company’s year continues to be so Mufasa: The Lion Kinga story that serves as a prologue to the 2019 live-action and should focus the plot on Simba’s father.
However, titles that were previously unconfirmed or had no firm release dates are now included in the updated schedule. That’s it Young woman and the seaa biopic which will be released on the big screen at the end of May and will tell the story of the first woman to swim across the Channel.
Another production with a confirmed date is Types of kindness, which hits theaters in June. The film is a comedy-drama directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, a Greek director who recently directed the film Poor creatures, nominated in several Oscar categories. Emma Stone and Willem Dafoe, who were with Lanthimos in his last film, will return to the director’s cast.
