The team participates in the final of the mixed series at the World Championships in Sofia

The Brazilian team has qualified for its second final at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia, this Saturday (13), in Bulgaria. One day after the five bows, the team formed by Duda Arakaki, Nicole Pircio, Victória Borges, Déborah Merado and Sofia Madeira secured the decision in the mixed series (three ribbons and two balls), scoring 29.500 in the qualifiers.

With the recently launched choreography “Venha ao Brasil”, the Brazilian group made some inaccuracies in the presentation and did not get an inflated score. The team scored 29,500, including 16,100 for difficulty, 7,700 for artistic and 5,700 for execution. With the total, the team placed seventh in the qualifiers among 15 participating countries and secured a place in the final.

Considering the performance of the five bows, Brazil accumulated 65,350 points and finished the competition in fifth place.

Decisions on the World Cup in Sofia will take place this Sunday (14th), starting at 6:30 am (Brasilia time). In addition to the five hoops final and the mixed team series, Brazil will have the young Maria Eduarda Alexandre in the individual ball final. The country also saw the participation of Babi Domingos, an athlete already qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
