Jennifer’s Truths is the latest true crime on Netflix. This 1:30 documentary examines the criminal case that rocked Canada in 2010. When police in the quiet small town of Markham receive a call from young Jennifer Pan, who explains that her parents are being attacked and killed, she doesn’t expect to find a story involving several heroes.

The investigators quickly discover that Jennifer herself ordered the murder of her parents in order to free herself from their yoke and obtain life insurance that would allow her to live the life she had always dreamed of, away from the pressures of her family. A plan involving her ex-boyfriend, the killer, and his accomplice, for $5,000.

It is a long work

In 2014, a long trial was opened in Canada. The above four heroes are charged with first degree murder and attempted murder. After a 10-month trial, the ax fell: they were sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 25 years.
