The Brazilian surfer was enjoying the sea in Margaret River, Australia, this Saturday 13th, training for the Australian leg of the World Surfing Tour (WSL), when he appeared;
The Olympic champion was surprised by an animal and shared the moment on his social networks. Although he believes it to be a shark, many of his followers think it was just a dolphin.
It is worth mentioning that Margaret River is a place known for the presence of sharks. In 2018, the WSL World Tour stop was canceled after people reported attacks.
Outside of competition, there was an attack on a surfer in Margaret River in July last year, but there were no casualties.
The next stop for the Margaret River leg is scheduled for Sunday evening (Monday morning in Australia).
