Check out three different options for getting proof of PIS registration via cell phone or computer
Obtaining the PIS receipt is a way to have a document with all the information relating to the citizen’s registration with the Social Integration Program or the Social Identification Number (NIS). You can save a PDF with posting date, CPF or CNPJ employer, among other options.
There are three ways to obtain the document online: on the Caixa Trabalhador and Caixa Tem applications or on the Citizen Portal — in addition, you can visit a Caixa Econômica Federal branch in person. OR Canaltech explains step by step for each option.
How to get PIS test
Before proceeding, it is important to remember that NIS and PIS are represented by the same number, what changes between them is the origin of each citizen’s registration. Therefore, if you find a tab like “My NIS” on the respective platforms, know that it represents the same path.
At the cashier’s office
The Caixa Trabalhador app brings together various contents on the wage benefit and the PIS. Here’s how to get the document:
- Open Caixa Trabalhador (Android | iOS);
- Do Login with CPF and password;
- Tap “My NIS”;
- Select “Save”;
- Open the PDF in an application.
No Caixa has it
Initially used to receive emergency aid, the Caixa Tem app also allows you to obtain a PIS bank statement:
- Open Caixa Tem (Android | iOS);
- Log in with CPF and password;
- Search for “My NIS”;
- See receipt;
- Tap the icon next to the document to share it.
On the Citizen’s Portal
You can access the Caixa Citizen Portal via your browser;
- Access cidadao.caixa.gov.br;
- Log in with CPF;
- Click on “My NIS”;
- See receipt.
How to find out your PIS number
Even without proof, there are many other ways to find out each person’s PIS number: some examples include the FGTS app, Meu INSS and other Caixa platforms — check all options.
