The series Deadly kilos, one of Discovery’s most popular shows, is getting a Brazilian version starting in May. Max (formerly HBO Max) recently revealed an official trailer for the attraction:

The weight loss reality show will follow the lives of nine Brazilians who struggle with problems resulting from obesity, such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension and limited mobility.
Deadly kilos Brazil is a production of Endemol Shine Brasil for Warner Bros. Discovery. The series is directed by Gabriel Hein, creative direction by Allan Lico, production supervision by Adriana Cechetti and Luciana Soligo, and screenplay by Luísa Guanabara and Claudio Yosida.
Differences between versions
The debut of Deadly kilos Brazil is confirmed for May 9th. Note that the American version is also available on Max and is currently broadcast on Record, also on Fridays.
Obesity is serious
The WHO says obesity is a risk factor for a number of serious diseases, such as type 2 diabetes, asthma, fatty liver, heart problems and even some types of cancer. According to the World Health Organization, obesity currently affects approximately one in eight people worldwide.
