Zack Snyder reveals release forecast and duration of new versions of Rebel Moon

This Friday, April 19th, Zack Snyder spear Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar Markersequence of Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girl, his most recent film for Netflix. However, instead of resting, the director is already working on extended versions of the features, which should soon arrive on the streaming platform.

In an interview with Omelet, Snyder gave new details about the news, which will have more than two hours of additional scenes. According to the filmmaker, the first part will be 3h15 long, an hour and a quarter longer than the version already released; while the sequel will be 2h58, about an hour longer than the original.

Snyder has not confirmed when the director’s cuts of Rebel Moon will be released on Netflix, but he said that they should premiere later this year, at the end of summer in the United States, that is, between August and September.

The first part of Rebel Moon presented the story of an intergalactic colony threatened by a tyrannical ruler. Due to the conflict, a desperate group sends Kora (Sofia Boutella, Climax), a young woman with a mysterious past, on a quest for warriors from neighboring planets to help them defeat the villain.

The sequel continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors. Alongside the brave people of Veldt, they are ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to defend the village that has become home to those who lost everything and everyone in the fight against the Mother World.

On the eve of battle, each of them must face the truths about their own past and the reasons that led them to fight. With the Kingdom willing to annihilate the rebels at any cost, bonds are formed, heroes emerge and legends are born. Watch the trailer:
