After the court adjournment, NeNe Leakes’ Bravo case could be resolved sooner rather than later

Although it hinted in 2021 that it might be ready for another comeback in Real housewives from Atlanta, NeNe Leakes apparently still has a big problem with how things have been handled in the past. The 54-year-old filed a discrimination lawsuit against the reality network in April on Bravo, other production companies involved, and even executives like Andy Cohen. Leakes previously accused them of racism on social media, and in the lawsuit he is now seeking compensation for what would have happened. Now, following an update in court, things could be sorted out sooner rather than later.

The lawsuit against the Real Housewives of Atlanta sees great development

The reality star claims that several incidents with his former co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann, in which he allegedly used racial stereotypes and slurs, were blown away by Bravo’s direction. Also, she pointed out TMZ in May he had to deal with racist behavior, even on the part of the white “corporate boss”. Presumably, her complaints sparked a backlash that put her on the “black list” of the industry as a whole. However, NeNe Leakes told the outlet that her main focus with the lawsuit isn’t free publicity or money as some have suggested: she just wants to “end discrimination against women of color.”

The latest development in the legal drama is that negotiations are underway to resolve the case. According to the judicial documents obtained by page 6, Andy Cohen, Bravo, and their parent company NBC Universal have determined that contractual arrangements are in place with NeNe Leakes to conduct arbitration in New York first, or, in other words, an independent remedy. The losses apparently completely challenged the arbitration. However, they all seem to agree with current efforts to “negotiate this matter” of their own accord in order to “avoid the time and expense of a motion to compel arbitration.” As a result, a judge in Atlanta, where the lawsuit was filed, gave them a 45-day extension to complete those discussions.

Hopefully, there may be a solution before things get even worse, in theory. Businesses would definitely prefer it. However, if the main goal of NeNe Leakes is to prevent Real housewives from Atlanta If the work environment continues to be discriminatory, as you argue, then 45 days may not be enough to “negotiate” real change.

Before the recent development was revealed, NeNe Leakes herself had some updates regarding the various lawsuits on her plate. The reality star said she was “dragged” into the civil lawsuit filed by her boyfriend’s ex-wife against her, even though she had no “lawsuit” at the end of their marriage, as she claimed. In the same interview, it is interesting to note that she Leakes claimed that she had not heard from anyone, Andy Cohen or anyone else, from the Bravo trial. However, it is possible that she meant that she had not heard from them personally, only through their respective lawyers.

Likewise, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, who ultimately starred in all eight seasons of Bravo’s don’t come home late show after her real housewives mandate, has ruled on the cause that has appointed her as a central figure. (To be clear, her former co-star didn’t sue her like the others, she was only raised in certain situations that allegedly happened.) Zolciak-Biermann called the allegations “ridiculous,” adding that the he would “face” After the Bravo debacle is over.

It looks like more drama is on the way for NeNe Leakes, but this time it’s not just a “story” for the cameras, it’s real life. We will let you know if the chase finds a way to end early. Meanwhile, season 14 of Real housewives from Atlanta continues to air new episodes (Sunday night on Bravo and the next day on Peacock Premium) regardless of what happens to the show elsewhere.
