“Avatar 2”: Kate Winslet’s character revealed

Actress Kate Winslet’s character in “Avatar: The Way of Water”, a Na’vi named Ronal, was revealed and won a first picture.

This information, as well as the image, was revealed by the magazine empire, the next issue of which will focus on James Cameron’s new film. In fact, Cameron and Winslet, who are now reunited in “Avatar: Water Way”, have also worked together on the smash hit of the ’90s, “Titanic”.

According to the magazine, Ronal, Winslet’s character, is a Na’vi warrior, people we met in 2009 in “Avatar,” and will play a major role in the sequel. Ronal commands the Metkayina tribe along with Tonowari, lived by Cliff Curtis, a people “who inhabit the shallow waters of the vast oceans of Pandora”.

“She is a deeply loyal and fearless leader,” Winslet told Empire. “She is strong. A warrior. Even facing great danger and with an unborn child on the way, she still joins her people and fights for what is dearest to her. Your family and your home.”

Additionally, Winslet commented on returning to work with James Cameron, this time on “Avatar: The Water Way”. “[Ele] and now they are completely different people than we were 26 years ago. “He’s calmer and I’m definitely more hyperactive now!”

Winslet also talked about the challenges in playing the character of Ronal and highlighted an impressive feat: the record time he spent underwater. “Seven minutes and 14 seconds, baby!” She said, noting that “the most amazing thing for me as a middle-aged woman was learning something not only new, but superhuman.”

“Avatar: Water Path” will be released in theaters on December 15, 2022.
