Young Sheldon: The actors said goodbye on the last day of shooting the series

It’s the end for young Sheldon. Last November, CBS announced that the sitcom, which focuses on Sheldon Cooper’s youth, would end at the end of its seventh season.

An ending that didn’t really come as a surprise to early fans, as young Sheldon’s story was coming to a really natural end, with events starting to catch up with those told in the parent series.

A moving farewell

Just this Tuesday, April 16, The Big Bang Theory prequel wrapped filming. It was an emotional day for the actors who did not hesitate to share photos of these last hours on the set.

“Today was our last day filming @YoungSheldonCBS“, wrote Ian Armitage, a translator for young Sheldon Cooper, in an Instagram story.What a joy, what an honor and what a privilege“.

The actor also shared a photo from the first day of filming in 2017:Here’s my eight-year-old getting ready for his first scene as young Sheldon. @MelissaPeterman just asked me what I would tell my baby.

“I might not have told him and life would have played out the way it did, but I think he would have been so surprised and happy to see where we are today. I am sure of that.”

“I don’t think that kid could have imagined how he would feel filming our last scene all these years later. Thanks to the entire team, past and present, and those who have always been there. I love you all so much!“

The grand finale

Airing May 16 on CBS, the final episode of Young Sheldon will be a one-hour special and will see the return of several iconic characters from The Big Bang Theory.

Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik really reinvent their characters as Sheldon and Amy, which promises a climactic conclusion. As of now, no information has yet filtered in about how these characters will be involved in the plot of Young Sheldon’s final episode. Answer me very soon.
