The Dutch driver overtook his British rival Hamilton, from Mercedes
Driver Max Verstappen, three-time Formula 1 world champion, won the sprint race of the Chinese Grand Prix in the early hours of Saturday (20th).
Despite starting fourth, the Dutchman from Red Bull drove a great race and overtook Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton, who was second. Mexican Sergio Pérez, Verstappen’s partner, closes the top 3.
As for Ferrari, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz completed the stage in fourth and fifth place respectively.
The Chinese GP was the first this season to host a sprint race. The model will only return to Miami, USA on May 4th and 5th. .
