“Duncanville” canceled in season 3

The American network Fox has announced the cancellation of “Duncanville” in its third season. The latest chapter aired last Sunday (6/26), but there are still six new episodes, which will be available exclusively on the Hulu platform later this year.

The animated production has low ratings, optimized by around 641,000 live viewers and an average of 0.2 points in the Nielsen demo.

Created by comedian Amy Poehler (star of “Parks and Recreation”) and the couple Mike and Julie Scully, producers of “The Simpsons”, the cartoon for adults followed the particular life of Duncan, a mediocre 15-year-old who lives submerged in his world of fantasies and dreams of fame, money and freedom – even if I don’t know how to get there. Always one step away from making a bad decision, he has the help of his family (father, mother and two sisters) and his intermittent crush.

“Duncanville” premiered in February 2020 in the US with the voices of Amy Poehler herself, who voices the title character, Ty Burrell (“Modern Family”), Riki Lindhome (“Knives and Secrets”), Zach Cherry (“Crashing”), Yassir Lester (“Black Monday”), Betsy Sodaro (“Hubie’s Halloween”), Rashida Jones (“On the Rocks”), Joy Osmanski (“Stargirl”), Kathy Najimy (“Change of Habits”) ) and rapper Wiz Khalifa (“Dickinson”).

The series is made available in Brazil by the Star + platform, which has not yet scheduled the premiere of the 3rd season.
