Arrested for a month, Robinho is enrolled in the penitentiary; see the former player’s routine

The former player was convicted of gang rape in 2013 in Italy

Robinho will spend a month in prison this Sunday in the Tremembé penitentiary (21). According to “G1” the former player has followed a regular routine and is also registered with the team.

The former striker is serving a nine-year sentence for the crime of gang rape against a woman committed in Italy in 2013. Robinho was arrested by the Federal Police, in Santos, on 21 March.

According to “G1”, Robinho shares a cell with another inmate. The former player receives visits on weekends, while visitors must choose between Saturday and Sunday, only during the standard opening hours of the Secretariat of the Penitentiary Administration (SAP), which are from 8am to 4pm.

The former athlete has access to educational and sporting activities within the unit, such as football matches, cultural workshops, religious actions, musical rehearsals and film sessions.

Robinho is registered on a list dedicated to job offers within the penitentiary. The offer of vacancies takes into account the prisoner’s professional training and skills. If a position opens up, the first inmates on the list go through a selection process and, if selected, begin working in a work shop within the unit.

The service can be paid for and, in these cases, the inmate receives it through a savings account, where he can authorize the family to withdraw part of the sum or ask the department to purchase items and deliver them directly. The work can be carried out through partner companies or through the Professor Manoel Pimentel Foundation (Funap).
