Disney: This movie kiss that doesn’t happen and it’s in a children’s movie

When a film is rediscovered because it appears on a platform, it is sometimes re-evaluated and criticized in a different way than when it was released. That’s what happened a few years ago in the Disney feature film The Millionaire’s Apprentice.

In this film, a young Preston Waters loses his bicycle, which is destroyed by a rich man’s car. Preston is played by Brian Bonsall, who starred in the sitcom Sacred Family with Michael J Fox and will be seen again alongside Patrick Swayze and Halle Berry in A Father on the Run. Bonsall stars alongside Miguel Ferrer as a gangster and Karen Duff.

It is his character that makes the scene disturbing. The actor plays Shay Stanley, an FBI agent who is chasing a gangster. At the end of the featurette, as a farewell to Preston, he suggests that they meet again in 10 years. Preston starts negotiations “8 years ago” and they agree on 6 years. The agent kisses the young boy on the mouth and leaves.
