Russell Crowe, best known for his role in Gladiator (2000), will once again tackle the supernatural in a new horror film. Titled as The exorcismthe preview was released by Vertical this Thursday (25th), providing more details about the production.
It’s worth mentioning that Crowe comes from another recent horror production that was quite successful: The Pope’s exorcist (or The Exorcist of the Vatican), 2023. The production grossed more than $77 million at the global box office and, for those who don’t know, it was based on fact: the story of an Italian priest who became the most wanted – after the exorcist in the world, according to a BBC News report.
The Pope’s exorcist is now available to stream on Max and Prime Video.
And speaking of Russell Crowe…
It is not possible to talk about Crowe without remembering, of course, one of his greatest successes, Gladiatorof 2000. The film received a sequel which is scheduled for release on November 22 this year.
Even if the production does not include the protagonist, it will have the presence of other important characters, such as Connie Nielsen, who will reprise the role of Lucila. The new plot will take place 25 years after the events of the first film.
