Chery’s new plug-in hybrid off-road SUV has an electric range of 208 km with 381 HP
BEIJING, China – Chery unveiled a new off-road SUV from its Jetour brand at the Beijing Motor Show (Auto China 2024). This is the Shanhai T2, which costs from 179,900 to 209,900 yuan (from 24,800 to 29,000 dollars).
The Shanhai T2 is the plug-in hybrid version of the Jetour Traveller. The three versions launched have 4×2 traction. A 4×4 version arrives this year.
The Jetour Shanhai T2 measures 4,785/2,006/1,875 mm and has a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The engine is 1.5 turbo, which works with an electric motor and a 3-speed DHT transmission. The combined power is 381 HP (280 kW) and torque reaches 610 Nm.

With a 27 kWh battery, the entry-level Jetour Shanhai T2 has an electric range of 129 km/charge. The top of the range version has 43 kWh and makes 208 in electric mode. The hybrid autonomy is 1,300 km.
