After Betty (Horya Benabet) returns in Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle, nothing is going well for the residents of Mistral, and especially for Killian (Tim Russo). The latter, who was finally ready to start his life, asked the young woman for a divorce. Unfortunately, Betty isn’t ready to let her husband leave her without a fight.
Betty killed herself
After an absence of several months, she returned to Marseilles to try and win back Killian’s heart, to no avail. The latter really moved. But seeing Killian push her away, Beth gradually descended into madness.
After selling the shares of Mistral to Vanessa Kepler and threatening to destroy Aya’s room, the young girl storms into Killian’s bar after the close of Thursday’s April 25 episode.
He then threatened to cut the veins in Aya and Killian’s eyes. The latter managed to calm him down by taking Aya out of the bar. The episode then received an ellipsis. Killian then wanders the deserted streets, apparently in a state of shock, with blood on his shirt.
And after this event, the young girl seemed to completely disappear. Jules, his cousin, starts to worry because he hasn’t come home all night. He also entrusted Yolande with a letter in which he informed her that he “put an end to it” to her life on the beach, where she first fell in love with Killian.
At the scene, Killian and Jules find the girl’s abandoned belongings on the sand. Inside Betty’s shoe is her wedding ring. Everything indicates that he killed himself.
Is Betty really dead? Our hypotheses
However, Betty’s disappearance under such circumstances raises many questions. If Killian’s behavior seemed suspicious after their altercation in the abandoned Mistral bar, it would still seem very strange if he actually attacked Betty.
Even if the latter brings out the darkest in him. Killian really became the central character of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle. The choice of the producer and screenwriters to make him a killer is unlikely.
Beth is still alive and trying to frame Killian
The most likely hypothesis is that the young woman is trying to accuse him of murder in order to take revenge. In this Wednesday’s Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle episode, Betty threatens Killian to denounce him for abuse after she deliberately burns her hand.
Given his background, he is sure that no one will believe his innocence. And he’s right, given that many of Mistral’s denizens will doubt him in the following episodes if we go by the brief summary.
Thomas, who will continue to maintain his brother’s innocence, will have to find a way to avoid any suspicion. But if Betty did indeed fake her death, when will she reappear in Mistral? And what will be the reaction of the population?
Betty was killed by a third party
Another hypothesis is that he really died, but that he did not kill himself. He would be killed by an enemy whose identity we do not yet know. Betty has a really explosive temper and often tends not to make the right choices or hang out with the right people.
Before the honeymoon in Canada and the return to Marseille, a lot happened in the life of the young woman. Perhaps he made enemies while traveling, by dealing with the wrong person, or by stealing money from someone.
This person would then use the knowledge of Betty and Killian’s relationship to make the young man the ideal criminal. But who could get rid of Betty?
One thing is for sure, we will have to wait for the new episodes of Plus belle la vie to air, even plus belle, to discover the whole truth about this case.
