Although Bruce Willis retired from acting in 2022 as a result of frontotemporal dementia, there was a time in the 80s and 90s when he was many’s favorite action actor and on-screen hero.
One of his most memorable films is “Armageddon”. Released in 1998, it depicts the story of a group of oil well drillers who must travel into space to find meteorites that threaten to hit Earth. In the Michael Bay film, Willis gave life to the hero Harry S. Stamper, but behind the scenes the now 69-year-old actor also had positive qualities to show, as a producer of the film recently revealed.

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer, who worked closely with Willis on “Armageddon,” recently shared details about the actor’s attitude on set. “Bruce is a good guy,” Bruckheimer said. “He was very generous with the team.”
According to Bruckheimer, at the end of each week of shooting, Willis made a gesture that surprised everyone: he offered cash gifts to the crew:
“They did raffles and he put a lot of money in the hat and the team members always got some extra money at the end of the week, no matter who won,” he revealed.
Bruckheimer described him as a “good friend” and noted his generosity to others.
