Anderson Leonardo hid the fact that he was Elza Soares’ nephew; find out why!

AndersonLeonardosinger of Softdied this Friday, 26, at the age of 51, after losing his battle with groin cancer, spent more than 30 years in the group.

The singer was the son of the music producer, composer and percussionist Ubirajara de Souzaknown as Bira Hawaii. What many don’t know is that she was the granddaughter of Elza Soaresdied in January 2022.

In an interview with General balance (Record), in mid-2020, the artist said that it was she who encouraged and talked to his father to get him into the musical universe.

“He said to my father: ‘Leave him, Bira. He likes music, leave him'”, he said, also saying that he also received advice from her. “You have to be responsible, try a lot, train a lot, listen a lot”, Elza said to her nephew.

“I only went to say that I was his nephew, when I met Molejo. I always really liked being there in my struggle, slowly, with a lot of simplicity, humility. I never liked to say that I was his nephew”, THEsigned at the time.

The singer also stressed that he has always been proud to be part of Elza’s family, but that he wanted to achieve success with his own talent.
