The boy died in the emergency room after being rescued by SAMU on a street in central São Paulo
A 23-year-old man died in the emergency room (UPA). St. Paul after being rescued, without documents, by the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) in a street in the Santa Ifigênia neighborhood, in the center of São Paulo. The young man was wanted having last been seen in a named premises Hotel Peperoncinoin Largo do Arouche, still in the centre.
The cause and circumstances of the death are under investigation by Civil police, through the 3rd Police District (Campos Elíseos). The young man died at UPA – Vergueiro, in the south of the capital, for this reason the case was registered as a suspicious death in the 5th police district (Aclimação).
Douglas Drumond, owner of the place where the man was last seen, took to social media this Friday and stated that the boy left the place on Monday the 22nd at around 4.25am.
“The property and its employees have no responsibility for the events that occurred and there was no aggression or forced action against the guest,” the statement read.
According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), reports have been requested and are being prepared which “as soon as they are concluded, will be analyzed by the police authorities”. The victim was identified days after her death thanks to a complaint opened by her family following her disappearance.
According to the SSP, further information on the case will not be disclosed in order to preserve the police’s autonomy in investigating the incident.
