Starring opposite Bradley Cooper in the 2013 Oscar-winning comedy-drama The Happiness Therapy, American actress Jennifer Lawrence is one of Hollywood’s hottest actresses today.
Internationally known thanks to the X-Men sagas (where she played the mutant Mystique) and especially The Hunger Games (in which she played the lead role of Katniss Everdeen), the star, now 33, is also illustrated alongside. Chris Pratt in the sci-fi film Passengers, the action feature Red Sparrow and Adam McKay in the apocalyptic comedy Look No High.

The first role in the Monk series
But before gaining fame, 18 years ago (when she was only 16 years old), Jennifer Lawrence made her acting debut in very small roles. His first steps on the set date back to 2006, when he played the mascot of the basketball team in an episode of the series Monk.
Although we see her relationship with the lead actress show Tony Shalhoub during the match, so he remains permanently masked until returning to the locker room, where he eventually removes the cougar’s head to deliver a one-liner (before entrusting his costume to Natalie, Monk’s assistant, for the rest of the episode).
The beginning of fame
Despite these humble beginnings, Jennifer Lawrence’s career soon took off. After further appearances in the series Medium and a bigger role in The Bill Engval Show, the actor finally transitioned from the small screen to the big screen.
Opposite James Earl Jones in House of Poker and Charlize Theron’s Far From Scorched Earth, he received his first Oscar nomination in 2010 for his role in Debra Granik’s drama Winter’s Bone. Now recognized as a professional, he was introduced to the general public the following year by joining the ranks of the X-Men in The Beginning.
