Messi, from ‘Anatomy of a Fall’, gets TV show in France

Messidog who starred Anatomy of a Fallwill get its own program during the Cannes Festivalannounced the producer D18 Paris. The series will allow viewers to experience the film festival “through the eyes and voice of Messi“, considered by D18 like a canine version of George Clooney.

“This will be an opportunity for Messi ask questions of your guests with the innocence of a dog,” added the producer in a press release (via IndieWire). “When you’re today’s international star, you can do anything… and Messi dare to do everything!”

Messi: The Cannes Film Festival from a Dog’s Eye View will have eight episodes of one minute each. The series, which is not part of the festival’s programming, will be broadcast on French national TV, on channels France 2, France 3, Culturebox, and TV5 Monde every day, from May 13th until the 25th of the same month, when the festival ends. TikTok will be responsible for sponsorship.

The idea was conceived by Tim Newman. Raphaël Mezrahiwho scripted the program, must lend his voice to Messi. The direction will be in charge of Loïc Pourageauxwhile the dog’s training will continue in the hands of its owner, Laura Martin.
