Released on February 5, 2018, The Red Bracelets, an adaptation of the Spanish TV series Polseres Vermelles, inspired by the true story of Albert Espinosa, follows the daily lives of a group of sick teenagers at the Leonardo da Vinci Hospital in Arcachon.
For three seasons, viewers passionately followed the adventures of Thomas (Audran Katin), Clement (Tom Rivoire), Roxanne (Luna Espinosa), Mehdi (Azize Diabate), Comey (Marius Blivet) and Sara (Esther Walding). Together they experienced illness, love, betrayal, friendship, but above all trials that changed them forever.
More than three years after the season 3 finale, the series is back on TF1 in a reboot. So exit Thomas, Clement, Roxanne, Mehdi, Kome and Sara and now put in Benji (Léo Lorléac’h), Emma (Kali Boisson), Zoé (Esther Blanc), César (Maxime Pipet) and Nathan (Noah Derrick), brand new Generation red bracelets.
For two new seasons, viewers followed the adventures of this group of teenagers, who were as charming as they were charming. After three weeks, Season 5 of Red Bracelets concludes tonight on TF1 with two particularly emotional episodes. But can we expect a season 6?
Season 6 for red bracelets?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Season 5 of Red Bracelets will indeed be the last.
“It’s really over“, – confirmed Marie Madinier, one of the authors of the series in an interview. And added. This is the last season of the red bracelets. So you have to eat it. A great ending to this series.“.
The end of a real adventure, applause for the audience, actors, screenwriters, technicians, but also for Véronique Marcha, the producer of the program. The latter also confided in the columns of our colleagues at Télé 7 jours:
“We tried to end on a high note. I will never forget the first time we screened Red Armbands at the La Rochelle Television Arts Festival in 2017. At the end of the show, the audience started clapping, I don’t know how long, we were in tears. It was an incredible moment. This last season is important for all the actors, technicians and directors who stepped in and gave 200%.“.
Watch the last two episodes of the final season of Bracelets Rouges tonight at 9.10pm on TF1.
