A Better Life Preview: What’s in store for Tuesday 30 April 2024 Episode 82 [SPOILERS]

Jennifer needs Samuel

At the doctor’s office, Jennifer struggles to concentrate on her work. And for good reason, he only thinks of Samuel. While he is texting the young man, Leah leaves the office to ask him about a patient case.

Too busy dreaming about being a cop, Jennifer takes a medical case that goes wrong, surprising Leah. So, for the avoidance of doubt, Jennifer tells the doctor that she’s a bit off at the moment, probably due to the time change… a month ago.

Worried about her colleague, Leah asks what is really going on. Finally, the latter confesses his relationship with Samuel. But since the policeman left last Saturday, the text exchange has been especially storied. Leah suggests reading text messages for a little diagnosis. After a brief reading, the doctor advises him to stop hinting and be more direct.

Following Leah’s advice, Jennifer decides to take a photo in her underwear and then send sexts to Samuel. But in the end, she thinks it’s not a good idea and simply sends the following message: “The apartment is very empty in you…”. Would Jennifer be in love with Samuel?

Who really is Vanessa Kepler?

Blanche and Luna have a final presentation to convince City Hall that their association project is better than Mrs. Kepler’s. If Luna is determined to win, Blanche, for her part, wonders about her opponent.

And for good reason, he has the impression that he knows Ulysses and Ophelia’s mother personally: her face is familiar to him, and the way he massages his wrist when stressed vaguely reminds him of someone.

After the presentation, Blanche and Luna sit on Mistral’s terrace. The latter is reassuring because they managed to answer all the questions of the City Hall employees. But will it be enough to make you happy tenants of the old brothel?

While Luna is calmed down, Blanche has her eyes glued to the phone. Reason ? He looks at his old class photos. Suddenly, he stops at a 6th grade photo and points to a little girl: Corinne Lantier, a young student who is very shy and bullies all her classmates.

Luna asks why she’s suddenly interested in this kid, and Blanche replies: “She massaged her wrist when she was stressed.” Like Vanessa Kepler. At the same time, we find Mrs. Kepler at home in the midst of an anxiety attack. Could it be Corinne Lantier?

Killian becomes the prime suspect

Killian and Aya meet on the beach. A young woman tells him that she threw the bloody kitchen knife that disappeared a few hours earlier into the city’s lake. And with good reason, he feared it would turn against Killian. A young man is furious when he discovers that his girlfriend doubts his innocence.

Aya tells him: “You’re right, too many elements are working against you.”. Killian apologizes to Aya because it is because of her that they are having an extremely rocky start to their relationship. She promises him that everything will be fine.

Meanwhile, Morgan and Ariane go to the room Betty rented. The young policeman was concerned because Betty was Jules’ cousin. Ariane explains to her that she is not sure that Betty killed herself. What if he killed Killian?

Suddenly, two women discover a footprint on the bedroom wall. This is a shot from Killian a few days ago. In addition, they find documents that say Vanessa Kepler wanted to buy Betty’s shares in Mistral for €200,000. Ariane exclaims: “You surprise me that the marquises are worried.”

At the bar-restaurant Le Mistral, Javadi asks Thomas to let Aya temporarily leave Marseille while the investigation is underway. Reason ? He is sure Killian will be charged and it will hurt his little sister. He confidently states: “There is no other way out, they have to separate for a while.

Later, Jules gives Ariane a USB key containing her exchange with Betty, as well as postcards she sent her while on her honeymoon with Killian. The young man also informs Ariane that Killian has a new girlfriend.

Ariane asks Yolande what time Betty came to deliver the farewell letter, and Yolande replies that she didn’t see him, but it must have been morning. And for good reason, only residents can enter with their badges before 8am.

Back at police headquarters, Ariane informs her colleagues that PTS is taking fingerprints from Betty. In turn, Morgan discovered that the day before Betty disappeared, Killian did not return to the residence at 11:30 p.m., as he said, but around 3 a.m. Ariane exclaims: “We need to pick up the pace with Killian.”

At Mistral, while having drinks with colleagues, Killian receives a call from the police station. They will call tomorrow at 9 o’clock in the morning. Barbara gradually begins to suspect Killian about Betty’s disappearance. The tone between Barbara and Killian escalates, and the young man violently throws a glass bottle to the ground in a fit of rage.
