Pedrinho confirms the purchase of Cruzeiro and Alexandre Mattos

What was doubt or speculation is no longer so. The entrepreneur Pedro Lourenço, known as Pedrinho BH, confirmed the purchase of 90% of the shares of SAF do Cruzeiro. This Monday afternoon (29th), the situation will be made official, at Toca da Raposa II. Ronaldo Fenomeno will be present.

The entrepreneur, in fact, in addition to confirming the purchase of SAF, also confirmed the hiring of Alexandre Mattos, who has been with América-MG for just over 15 days.

“(Meeting) at 4pm at Toca, Ronaldo has arrived and we will talk. The negotiation dragged on a few days ago. Alexandre Mattos is excited and we are counting 100% on him, our football man. Pedro Junior will be assistant Alexandre, will share the tasks”, underlined the entrepreneur to Rádio Itatiaia.

A transition committee will now be created to pass on the details to Cruzeiro’s new players. Pedro Júnior, mentioned in the interview, is the entrepreneur’s eldest son. He will now lead Cruzeiro football as CEO. He already works on his father’s projects, especially at Supermercados BH.

Pedrinho guaranteed that the negotiation was complicated, at times it stalled, but he recalls that everything went well. He also added that the club belongs to Cruzeiro.

“What I have to say to our fans is that the owner of Cruzeiro is our fan. I’m not the owner, let’s change this key with the fan. It’s not a business, I’m not buying a business, it’s… so my passion”, he concluded.
