The Rossoneri club claims that the attacker’s defense obtained the suspensive effect with a unanimous decision
Flamengo announced the attacker through its social networks Gabigol is free to return to training and playing for the club after his defense managed to suspend his two-year pitch-side sentence. He was punished in March by the Sports Anti-Doping Court of Justice (TJD-AD) for attempting to falsify the test anti-doping.
The athlete Gabriel Barbosa is free to participate in the races organized by the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo. The attacker’s defense obtained the suspension effect with a unanimous decision.

Gabigol was accused of attempting to defraud a doping control test, at the Flamengo training center, in Ninho do Urubu, Rio, on April 8, the day before the derby with Fluminense, in the Carioca championship. He allegedly made the examination difficult by undermining the work of the urine collection officers, disrespecting them and failing to follow proper procedures from the start of the trial at 8.40am. The other players in the Flamengo squad, according to the complaint, took the exam before the 10am training session.
The Brazilian Anti-Doping Control Authority (ABCD) regularly carries out “surprise doping” in the training centers of Brazilian clubs during the season. Gabigol received the first notification of the fraud attempt on May 30. It is prohibited to refuse or not submit to the sample being taken after notification.
The prosecution points out that the Flamengo striker attempted to hide his genitals while urinating in the bowl, which constitutes fraud. The player’s test came back negative for doping, but authorities said the athlete ignored the presence of ABCD officials, as well as being disrespectful.
