Bringing an important character to life in childhood is a dream and not every actor can achieve it. Alicia VikanderOscar winner for Best Supporting Actress for The Danish girl, achieved this goal in 2018 by taking on the role of one of video games’ most iconic heroines. However, the project did not go as planned. It was a success and as such much was expected in terms of box office receipts, but it wasn’t successful and even the critics didn’t react very positively. Although a sequel was planned, things didn’t go well.
Vikander played the role of Lara Croft in tomb Raider. The actress has been replaced Angelina Joliewho played the character in two films: Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) e Lara Croft: Tomb Raider: The Origin of Life (2003). In this new version, directed by Uthaug roar, the script was based on the reboot of the video game series.
