“There are situations where when a child suffers abuse, he is also guilty, because he caused it.” This was a pastor’s speech during a service that sparked outrage on social media. The video was widely shared this Tuesday (30). Watch the video below.
The speech is by Pastor Jonas Felício Pimentel, current leader of the evangelical church Tabernáculo da Fé, in Goiânia. While advising parents not to let children sleep in the homes of “uncles”, “aunts”, “friends”, the pastor stated that, in some cases, children who are victims of sexual abuse are involved and responsible for the crimes.
“There are situations in which when a child suffers abuse, the child is also to blame, because he was the one who generated it. Children are also guilty, they are involved, but not in all cases. I want to make this very clear”
said Pastor Jonas Felício Pimentel.
The video with the cleric’s speech, which referred to the case of a 5-year-old girl who had suffered sexual abuse at the hands of her cousins, sparked a lot of indignation on social media.

“Your speeches are DISGUSTING, they are disgusting! At this very moment some babies, children and adolescents are being abused by people who believe they have the right to satisfy their own pleasures, things that for children, the pleasure they know is not will ever approach “what it is for an adult”
Xuxa vented.
