“The Asunta case”: What did the police find on the father’s computer? There weren’t just pictures

Series based on true events are catching the attention of the audience and the one that is now on everyone’s lips is “The Asunta Case”, which was recently released by Netflix and is already in the top 10 of the platform.

It narrates the investigation into the death of the girl Asunta Basterra, adopted at a young age by Spaniards Rosario Porto and Alfonso Basterra. After her parents reported her missing, her body was found on the side of a road and from there the police are trying to solve what really happened.

Why were the parents suspected of murder in the ‘Asunta Case’?

His parents’ inconsistent statements began to raise doubts about their involvement in Asuda’s murder, even though they denied it at all times. Although the evidence against him was unclear, everything takes a controversial turn when the police find disturbing material on Alfonso Basterra’s computer.

At the beginning of the series, the judge orders a search of Asunta’s parents’ homes and it is explained that there was a desktop computer that belonged to Basterra, but it later disappears for a few days and then returns.

While the police were examining the details of the device, they found sensitive photos and specifically images of Asunta in “provocative” clothes, i.e. a corset and stockings, which her parents said the girl used in a school festival, but the strange poses gave a different idea.

What did the police find on dad’s computer in real life? There were suspicious photos and poems

Later, researchers found another type of photo where Asunta appeared to be sleeping, but wrapped in a sheet, giving the impression that she was lifeless. This caught the attention of the police, who soon after revealed that the Spanish couple had drugged her for months with Lorazepam, after 27 pills of the drug were found in her system.

The case broke and went to trial when authorities announced that Basterra was stockpiling pornographic material of women with Asian features, which was all the more troubling because Asunta was born in China.

On the other hand, two poems written by Asuda were found: one is addressed to her mother and the other is a sonnet in which she tells the story of a woman addicted to drugs.

“His smile was as bright as the sun. It was the deepest and most beautiful mouth. He loved green, clear, white cabbage, as well as clear white coke. So much love was pooled in my heart that I heard my restless wrist he’s shaking Yesterday he laughed, he cried in the plane, it was a simple dry tear the painting and in the end he accepted with joy”, is what he said according to the portal “La Voz de Galicia”.

In real life, all of the above formed an important part of the trial evidence that helped Rosario Porto and Alfonso Bastera to be sentenced to 18 years in prison each.
